Cwwi German Naval Officers Sword With Sword Knot 39 This auction is for a circa wwi german naval officer's sword. I think that this item might have been modified for one of the south american countries, since it lacks the normal german crown over the anchor. Up to you to decide.
Overall, very nice piece of naval and military history. The handle is rayskin, in good condition, with nice banding, lal in tact. The guard is in very good shape, the ilon head adorns the pomel. The blade is tigth in the handle, the knot is oritinal, in very good shape. The blade is in good condition, with etchings still visible. The blade has no active rust, and only minimal pitting. The scabbard is in very good condition, with minimal to no wear patterns, and in almost perfect state. The brass work is all in tact. xEcellent addition to any militaria collector.No personal checks, no exceptions. Paypal preferred. Ussp money orders or bank issued cashier's checks only.
